  • Dobson vs. Obama

Excellent article written by an evangelical Christian about why Dobson's argument against Obama was not a fair and honest critique.

However, although I admired the main point of the column, the author
ironically is inaccurate in mischaracterizing Obama's proposed Iraq
    withdrawal as "precipitous."

Furthermore, a number of analysts believe
that at this point the damage in Iraq has already been done. We missed the
"golden hour" in the early days when we really had a chance to establish peace. Now
the Iraqi population is irrevocably balkanized for the foreseeable future. Although
there would be some short term increase in violence were we to leave, it would be less in total than what has already occurred. Our presence in Iraq isn't stopping the violence, it only slows it
down and lengthens the time period over which it occurs, while Iran is able to grow in influence in the region.

  • Editorial on the Supreme Court's radically activist decision on the 2nd Amendment.

This recent Supreme Court ruling explodes the myth that liberal judges are more "activist" than conservative ones.
